Cargo Handling Assistant
Emirates SkyCargo , the cargo division of the award-winning airline, is a dynamic, multicultural organisation with ambitious global growth plans. We are recruiting the best global talent for our operations in Dubai.
Our ideal candidate will ensure swift and safe movement of cargo, courier and mail loads. You will inspect, count and validate the goods at every point of breakdown, build-up, delivery and acceptance, ensuring that goods are correctly and promptly received or dispatched as per established service standards.
You will also process all associated documentation relating to shipments of cargo, courier and mail loads, ensure that all shipments of restricted articles are properly handled and handling of Dangerous goods shipments fully comply with the current edition of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Part of your duties will include accepting and delivering cargo, courier and mail to and from customers, which requires demanding degrees of attentiveness, speed and accuracy. You will coordinate, monitor and ensure joining loads and arriving loads are properly handled by Ground Handling Agents at various processing stages.
The preferred candidate will have successfully completed high school with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Air Cargo Handling and Operations Industry, with working knowledge of cargo build-up, break down, acceptance, delivery and documentation procedures. You must also have good knowledge of Cargo Handling computer systems and have good communication skills in both spoken and written English.
Interviews will take place in Bucharest in early June.
